News and Field Notes

This is where shorter pieces, observations, and timely commentary live. Unlike the guides — which are reference material meant to stay useful for years — field notes capture specific moments: a trailer breakdown, a sustainability deep-dive, a product analysis that might be relevant now but will age differently. Think of this section as the working margin notes alongside the main text.

Some of these started as notes to ourselves during a build and turned into something worth sharing. Others respond to things happening in the wider world — design trends, cultural releases, environmental conversations — through the lens of someone who spends most of their time thinking about layout structure and user experience. They are not news in the breaking-story sense. They are dispatches from whatever we are paying attention to at the time.

If you are looking for evergreen technical content, head to the guides section. If you want to browse layout experiments, the demos hub is a better starting point. But if you want to see what has been on our radar lately, read on.
